I have to say, I really like the sound of this new version of SKB. I like that they have started playing shorter concerts, it seems, but the songs are of more quality.

This new version of the band fires on all cylinders on the 22nd, managing to sound fresh and old at the same time. SKB breaths life into the "old warhorses", but is at its best when they're exploring Reed tunes. :)

I recommend anyone who wants to know what is right with SKB right now download this show.

Just got turned onto this band. They kick ass. Now I will buy their releases and go to their shows. Thank god for archive. And its a shame that gmd removed all the dead sbd's for now new audiences with grow much much slower than previously

Subject: Kimock and breathing
I remember flying down to NYC from the Great White North to catch my first live glimpse of Zero (Wetlands - May 1998). There were several moments that night that I lost all track of breathing. Kimock solos had carried everyone away. I was amazed at how he sat, back to the audience, headphones to the monitors and lending it all to the groove.

The current line-up of SKB is absolutely incredible. Thank you to Charlie Miller for the uploads and thank you to SKB for the energy and tightness. The vibe is absolutely fantastic.

Subject: Thanks to Charlie Miller & The SKB
Thanks again for releasing this Matrix. I still love the 10.1.05 Dallas,TX matrix & play it a lot. After seeing Steve & gang on 10.20th in Charlottesville & 10.21st in Falls Church,VA I knew that they were for sure, all out, running on all cylinders. I'm glad that this show sold out b/c those who missed the 20th & 21st definately missed out. Hoping to see one of those pop up here. I saw a lot of tapers at the Falls Church show so here's to hoping. I'm going to get them on digitalsoundboard.net, but I do *Love* these Matrix's Charlie, thanks again.
